2018 Fall Field Hockey
This year's Spring season begins on Sunday, September 9 and will run through Sunday, November 11. Youth and adult teams play on Sundays.
Team Structure and Divisions
Roadrunners will have both youth and adult teams, youth league divisions are below:
- 8U, 10U, 12U Mixed
- 14U Girls, 14U Boys, 17U Boys, High School Girls
Location / Field Hockey Pitch
All field hockey games are played on the FHF turf field at Moorpark College. Rules are available at the league website, fieldhockeyfederation.com.
Registration to play in FHF sponsored games requires two (2) separate steps. 1) All players must have an FHF membership (on the FHF website, see below), and 2) All players must register on the Roadrunner website.
The Roadrunner Field Hockey Club (RFHC) is a charter member of the FHF. All participants must be a 2018 member of the Field Hockey Federation (FHF), the organizing league for field hockey in this area. Your FHF membership covers the cost of insurance and upkeep of the field hockey pitch. For more information, please visit: fieldhockeyfederation.com. FHF membership is good for the calendar year, so if you registered with FHF in the Spring you do not have to register again in the Fall.
Team practices are held 5:00 Friday at the field hockey pitch at Moorpark College. Carpools may be available! We are also looking at parks and schools in the Ventura/Oxnard/Camarillo areas as additional options for practice to ensure we have maximum participation. Regardless, practice on the Moorpark FHF pitch will still occur as this is where games will be played and the skills on this turf need to be consistent with game day.
Team rosters are built on registered players, skill level, age, and experience of each individual youth player and team. If you would like to play up a division on a second team, please email email@example.com for more information and roster availability.
Team Uniforms and Equipment
Uniforms consist of a Roadrunner jersey, red soccer socks, and black shorts or skirt. Please note that uniforms are not included in your registration fees, order online separately as needed. Cost is $35 and includes a RR jersey, provide your own socks and shorts. Uniforms can be ordered HERE.

Loaner sticks are available! Please contact the club and the Equipment Manager will be in contact with you. Good quality sticks are available online and at tournament venues.
Registration for a Roadrunner team is complete with payment. Submit payment online (preferable) during registration or bring a check to the first practice. Refunds, if needed, are as follows: 100% refund before the season starts; 50% refund through the first week of the season. No refunds after the first week of play.
